The Brandenburger family
The pictures of the Brandenburgers show a family of some wealth and privilege. At the time Edith was born in the year 1900, the family lived in Kronstadt, just outside St Petersburg. The civil disruptions that led to Russian meant the family had to leave, moving to Larvik and then to Germany.

Edith
A fine looking gentleman in a uniform. The picture is old, but origin unclear.
It is not known who this gentleman is. The picture was taken in Reval - now Talinn - and may be Meta's father. It looks like a very early photograph in a style possibly from the 1870s or earlier
Johann and Pauline Ross (born Johannson) - parents of Meta Ross. Quite possibly the oldest picture in the collection - it could date back to around 1870 or even earlier.
